The old bar lounge on Chew avenue & Meehan Street in Mount. Airy was a nuisance to the community. This location was on its way to becoming a stop and go deli. TFAD was able to create a place of prosperity with the development of TFAD's Community Learning Center.

Following the completion of the blight removal project. the next step was to commission a community empowerment mural on the side of the building dedicated to the community signifying a positive change within the neighborhood.  This was the rendering of what the transformed corner of Chew avenue would look like once construction was completed

Year to date, the overhaul of the once dilapidated structure is complete and TFAD's Community Learning Center is now open The center became operational April 3rd 2108 after the TFAD grand opening.
